For chocolate lovers everywhere.


Chocoalte PuddingIngredients 

  • 150g (5oz) dark chocolate 70% cocoa
  • 125g (41/2oz) butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2egg yolks
  • 130g (41/2oz) caster sugar
  • 60g (21/2oz) soft, plain flour, sieved
  • 10g (1/2oz) good qualitycocoa powder
  • Little butter and cocoa powder for greasing and dusting the moulds.

 

Method

  1.  Preheat the oven to 180/350/Gas Mark 4.  Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.
  2. Remove from the heat and whisk in the eggs and egg yolks one at a time.
  3. Fold in the sugar, flour and cocoa.
  4. Rest the mixture overnight in a covered bowl in the fridge.
  5. Pipe or spoon the mixture into the moulds until three-quarters full.
  6. Place the moulds on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for approx 6 minutes, until the puddings rise and their surface breaks slightly.  The centre of the fondant dhould still be liquid once cooked.


Serve with your favourite ice cream and enjoy!

I know i wrote this recipe.... but tried it for valentine's day and was great! I was worried that it would end up just as a chocolate sponge but it was lovely and gooey in the middle, just as it should be!!
